About

Brian grew up on his family’s third generation dairy farm in western Wisconsin. He was active in sports, including high school football, basketball, baseball and college football. It was through his own multiple sports related injuries, subsequent surgeries, and rehabilitation programs that he was introduced to physical therapy and discovered his passion for helping others stay physically healthy, active, and confident.

Brian launched Kinecio Physical Therapy in 2019 with a vision of providing world-class professional services to Woodbury and the greater Twin Cities Metro Area. His elite credentials, unique training, and advanced skills are distinctive and trusted throughout the region.

Brian lives an active lifestyle alongside his wife Julie, and enjoys recreational activities like hiking, camping, cross country skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, golfing and fishing.

Celebrating Our Client’s Success

Before I began seeing Brian for Physical Therapy I was having upper and lower back pain as well as neck pain that caused headaches. These challenges made me feel terrible. The lack of exercise paired with my injury usually creates a difficult cycle to get out of and that’s where Brian comes in. After the first issue I had with my back, Brian had me back to running within 3-4 weeks. I just saw Brian again a month ago with back/SI pain and after just one visit I was able to go back to yoga at my regular 5-6 times per week cadence. I have seen Brian many times throughout the past 5 five years. Each time I go in to see him I feel immediate relief right after my appointment. Brian has a way of looking at body pain/issues from a whole-body perspective. He doesn’t just provide you with a quick-fix to help immediate pain, he identifies the root causes for the pain/imbalances. Then he gives you prescriptive exercises to strengthen your areas of weakness to ensure that you stay healthy even when you aren’t seeing him. If you are looking to feel better fast, definitely consider treatment at Kinecio.

SI joint issues have bothered me for 20+ years, sciatica, tight muscles in hip and pelvic area. I was also having difficultly exercising (running) without low back pain. These limitations made me feel frustrated and at times hopeless that there was no solution to such a chronic issue. After seeing Brian I had so much less pain! I gained muscle strength and increased my mobility. I am now able to do activities that would have caused pain or injury with confidence and strength in my body. I can now run for longer periods of time with no pain and have even been able to go jumping at trampoline parks with my kids without having to stop due to back pain! Stop thinking about making an appointment with Brian and just do it. You will not be disappointed and you will find relief.

Prior to seeing Brian I was exhausted, both physically and mentally. I had two meniscus surgeries on my left knee. I’m basically bone on bone with arthritis rearing its ugly head. I had great difficulty in walking, standing for a long time and getting up from a seated position. Brian worked on mobility and married his therapy with the physical training I continued to do. Prior to me coming to Brian I was not able to walk enough to play 9 holes of golf or effectively cross train. Since working with Brian, I have been able to walk 18 holes of golf easily and continue with my cross training. This past summer during a golf trip to Scotland, I walked no less than 8 miles a day and played 36 holes twice walking. Additionally, with the use of a knee brace I can easily play Pickle ball for 2 to 3 hours without additional pain. Brian is one of the major reasons I have not had a knee replacement. He listens, asks probing questions and is genuinely concerned not only about my knee health but my overall health. I am truly honored to be in his care and respect him as a practitioner and as a person. I have recommended Brian to numerous friends and all have been extremely satisfied with Brian and his care.
